US 59(S) to I-10(W)
Segment D

Segment D stretches 17.4 miles from US 59(S) (the Southwest Freeway) in Sugar Land, north to I-10(W) (the Katy Freeway) near Katy. This segment has been completed and has been open to the public since August 31, 1994. Mainlane overpasses from US 59(S) to the Westpark Toll Road were constructed by Fort Bend County and opened to traffic in April 2014.  The road is operated and maintained by Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority from US 59(S) to south of Fry Road.  For information please go to www.fbctra.com.  TxDOT operates and maintains the portion from south of Fry Road to I-10(W).

TxDOT conducted public meetings on May 22 and May 24, 2007 to discuss the next phase of segment D roadway improvements which would include the construction and tolling of overpasses.
