Segment C

Segment C Record of Decision (ROD) was issued on March 29, 2013 by FHWA.
The Grand Parkway Association and TxDOT will host a public workshop for Segment C on December 6th, 2012, 530P-730P, at the George Ranch High School. The purpose of the workshop is to present the Segment C schematics and the findings of the Final Environmental Impact Statement. This is an open house style meeting with no formal presentation. The Segment C Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) was signed by the Federal Highway Administration on August 8, 2012 and was published in Federal Register on September 7, 2012. Click HERE for link to approved Segment C FEIS
The Draft Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) is currently being reviewed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and other cooperating agencies. Once the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) approves the FEIS, a Record of Decision (ROD) will be requested allowing TxDOT and the Grand Parkway Association to begin acquiring right-of-way. A ROD is anticipated early 2nd Quarter 2009.
The final schematic design is currently under review by TxDOT - Houston District. The schematic will be presented to the public once the FEIS has been approved by FHWA.
TxDOT has completed a Drainage Study of the project in response to comments received on the DEIS. The results of this study are incorporated in the FEIS.
A Section 7 consultation with the US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) has been completed regarding a protected species located within the project study area. A Biological Assessment and Biological Opinion have been approved by USFWS.
Wetland delineations and verification by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have been completed for the preferred alternative.
